JARC Has Fun Doin' the "D"
The summer of 2009 was a busy one for the people JARC serves. A large group took in the sights of downtown Detroit by taking a Feet on the Street Tour led by Linda Yellin. The most fascinating site was a visit to the Heidelberg Project where the whimsical and colorful sculptures of Tyree Guyton line the street. The group also got to enjoy refreshments along the Detroit River on the promenade of the Riverwalk.

No summer would be complete without the action of a Tigers baseball game. Thanks to the generosity of the Temple Israel Brotherhood and the expert coordination of Jim Grey, over 100 people from JARC attended the August 30th game. Not only was it a perfect afternoon, but the Tigers beat Tampa Bay 4 to 3 in a thrilling match-up. Special thanks to both the Temple Israel Brotherhood and Jim Grey for making the afternoon truly memorable!
