JARC Staff Speak at National ADARA Conference

 

Lena Griffin (far left) and Chris Hench (lower center) at national ADARA ConferenceJARC CEO Chris Hench and Deaf Program Coordinator Lena Griffin recently addressed a "standing room only" crowd at The American Deafness and Rehabilitation Associate (ADARA) Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  The topic of their presentation was "supporting the therapeutic process in the residential setting."  For many conference attendees, it was their first introduction to the philosophy of Gentle Teaching, a core principle of JARC's care giving. and a highly successful adjunct to psychotherpy in working with the Deaf and hearing impaired population.
