Club Scene

JARC’s Club Scene is a variety of fun social and recreation clubs in the community for adults and teens.  Each has its own focus, theme and programs.  Check out a Club Scene dance!

The Clubs are staffed by the Club Scene Facilitator and other JARC staff as needed.

CLUBS FOR ADULTS 

  • Cooking Club - Enjoy the smells, sounds, and most importantly, the tastes of cooking.
  • International Delights Dining Out Club - If you are an adventurous eater who likes to eat ethnic foods, this club is for you.
  • Culture Club - Come see the cultural side of the Detroit area and visit museums and attend cultural community events.
  • Fit n' Fabulous Club - Join us as we attend sporting events, play laser tag, miniature golf or any other physical or sporting activity.
  • Movie Mania Club - Comedies, thrillers, love stories . . this club offers it all.  Join us as we see first-run movies at various local theaters.
  • Picasso Club - Come be an artist!  Join us as we go to different studios in the area to create art projects.
  • Theater Club - Do you like to see live stage shows?  If so, the Theater Club is for you!
  • Games Night Club - If you enjoy playing pool, pinball, Nintendo Wii, Sony Playstation 3 or Xbox, you have found the right club.  This club will meet at the JCC Teen Center for an evening of gaming, watching movies or just hanging out.

Fit & Fabulous - Wednesday, August 11 - Picnic at Heritage Park
Culture - Sunday, August 15 - World Tournament of Historic Baseball at Greenfield Village
International Delights Dining Out - Tuesday, August 17 - Italian dining at Como's
Movie Mania - Thursday, August 19 - see The Expendables - time and location to be announced
Cooking - Tuesday, August 24 OR Wednesday, August 25 - Prepare Mexican food at the JARC office

NOTE:  Due to summer camp at the JCC, we will not be able to offer the Games Night Club in July or August.  It will return in September.
