Respite Care Workers
JARC is seeking energetic, caring individuals to work with children with special needs in the child's home and community. Respite Care Workers provide supervision, interaction and care for these children and teenagers in all settings. The position involve assisting with personal care and daily living tasks as necessary and taking the individuals to activities in the community. Hours are part-time and flexible. Must be available afternoons and weekends. A valid Michigan driver's license and high school diploma or GED are required. Experience working with children is preferred. The pay rate is $11.09/hour. Direct Support Professional
JARC is in need of full and part-time Direct Support Professionals to provide support, assist with personal care and hygiene and help adults with developmental disabilities be involved and integrated in the community. A valid Michigan driver's license and a high school diploma/GED are required. Assistant Home Manager
JARC is seeking experienced Assistant Home Managers to coordinate the care of six people who require 24-hour care and supervision in group home settings located in West Bloomfield. Responsibilities include coordinating the physical and medical care, hygiene needs, and transportation for the people living in the home, meal planning and preparation, as well as assisting the Group Home Manager with scheduling and supervision of the home staff. $11.59/hour once training is complete. A valid Michigan driver's license and high school diploma/GED are required, as well as experience in residential care or with people with disabilities. Management experience is preferred. Home of Your Own Assistant Coordinator
JARC is seeking an experienced Assistant Coordinator to coordinate the care of one person who requires 24-hour care in a Home of Your Own setting. Other duties include assisting in developing skills for maximum independence, participating in person-centered planning meetings, assisting in scheduling staff, and providing on-site supervision of Direct Support Professionals. Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma/GED, valid Michigan driver’s license, a reliable and insured vehicle, previous experience as an assistant manager or in a leadership role and experience with direct care. Program & Enhanced Services Coordinator
JARC is seeking a full time, high-energy professional to supervise group home managers and independent living staff, as well as work with families and funding sources. Maintenance Worker
JARC is seeking an experienced maintenance worker for full-time work in the office and group home locations. Qualified candidates must be skilled in HVAC, plumbing, drywall, painting, carpentry, and basic electrical, heating/cooling, appliances, carpeting, exterior structure & must have their own set of tools. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Installing and/or repairing plumbing fixtures to code including hot water heaters, garbage disposals, toilets, sinks, etc.
• Relighting pilot lights, replacing thermal couples, and hot surface igniters
• Installing electrical fixtures to code, GFI's, smoke detectors, plugs and switches, etc.
• Wall washing and painting
• Basic carpentry
• Landscaping, gutter cleaning, minor masonry work
Other duties include facilitating emergency property and vehicle maintenance and repairs, working with program staff regarding home maintenance issues and coordinating the efforts of outside contractors when necessary. This person is responsible for ensuring the physical aspects of the property meet the company standards and applicable laws. 2-4 years of relative experience required. Must be able to work weekdays, some weekend hours may be required. Competitive salary and excellent benefit package. [Job code MW-W].
